It has come to Venmar’s attention that an unlikely series of circumstances could lead to a motor overheating in certain models of air exchangers that may result in a potential fire hazard.

Is it my unit?

Only certain models manufactured between 1991 and 2001 are covered by the Product Recall - Safety Upgrade Program.
Ventilation systems manufactured before and after the dates mentioned hereby, and any other models not mentioned here, are not covered by this program.

Check the silver or black label on the outside panel of your unit. On the first line, in large and bold characters, is the model number.

NOTE: The X digit used in the model number can be either a letter OR a number.

Serial Numbers

Check the silver or black label on the outside panel of your unit. As mentioned, on the first line, in large and bold characters is the model number. The unit's serial number appears several lines below. This number begins with the letters "SER."
The 5th and 6th digits indicate the year of manufacture, while the 7th and 8th digits indicate the month. The remaining numbers are for the company's use.



NOTE : In some cases, the sequence of the serial number may be different. Just make sure you write down the serial number properly, and contact us as soon as possible.
