I could understand if someone issued an A tag but personally I would issue a B tag.  Maybe reduce the days to 15, on the B tag, to be certain it's fixed before it became an immediate hazard.

I believe you have done your diligence and proved it's not an immediate hazard.

For a B tag use,

Clause 4.1.3 - An appliance, accessory, component, equipment, or any other item shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's certified instructions and this Code.

The venting installation manual would require that the joint be properly glued.

For an A tag use,

Clause 4.5.2 - The use of an appliance, accessory, component, equipment, or material shall be prohibited where a hazard is created.

Did you read O.Reg 212/01?  No where does it say the warning tag must specify O.Reg 212/01.

The rules for issuing a warning tag are very clear.  Just read that regulation.

That's probably a TSSA tag.  Both tags are fine to use.

All you have to do is what is listed in O.Reg 212/01 Section 13(3) and Section 14(3).
