Product description
This recall involves direct vent gas fireplaces sold under the name "Skyline Marquis collection". They run on propane gas. The following model numbers are being recalled and can be found on the rating plate located on the bottom of the fireplace near the valve control.

Hazard identified
Delayed ignition can cause the fireplace's propane gas to explode and break or shatter the glass door. This poses a laceration hazard to consumers nearby.
Kingsman Fireplaces has received two reports of fireplace glass doors breaking.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these products.
Number sold
Approximately 296 of the recall fireplaces were sold by authorized distributors and specialty fireplace stores in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from April 2008 to December 2010.
