Hello,

my HRV Lifebreath 155 Max is 10 year old. Lately the high speed function of the HRV had issue. I can hear the motor want to spin to max speed but it cycle Low/High non stop and i hear the realy clicking in and out in the HRV.

I thinking maybe the control board is defect or the motor ? It work perfect on low speed.

I believe the motor only has a black 120V wire and a white neutral wire.  There are resistors on the control board that will reduce the current to the motor for each speed.  The fact that the motor still works leads me to believe the problem is with the control board.

I would unplug the HRV and disconnect all the low voltage wiring.  Put a jumper between ON & RED and ON & HI.  Plug it back in.  If the problem persists then it's likely the control board.  I would test the motor capacitor as well.
